Every child is born with an equal inalienable right to health, education, and protection. The fundamental needs lead to dynamic and successful adulthood. But, around the world, millions of children are denied a fair chance and essential needs because of their origin, race, and gender, or because they live in poverty, are born out of wedlock, in war zones,or with disability(UNICEF, 2016). These deprivations manifest themselves in a child's life throughout adulthood in many ways.
I believe a child deprived of proper healthcare may live a diminished health life. I also think that a child denied quality education might lack the skills needed to succeed in life.In addition, a child denied protection from violence or abuse might be emotionally or physically scarred for life. All these deprivations promote inequality. From an individual perspective, Inequality exists when some minors are wrongly denied their fundamental rights and opportunities enjoyed by others. It regularly stems from factors that shape socioeconomic status. These factors determine various outcomes, including a child's wellbeing.
Denying a child a fair chance is an act of child right violation. Child rights are human rights that recognize a child's special need for care and protection. Anyone familiar with child rights would knows that it is a crime to deny a child equal rights. In some countries, denying a child education, subjecting them to labor, or decriminating them attracts penalties imposed by the government. International agreements on child rights demands that children should be brought up in a hospitable environment with freedom, peace, equality, and dignity. These factors would control each nation's system of health, education, law, and social services in an ideal world. However, this is not always the case. Although millions of children are denied a fair chance due to poverty, disability, gender, and other circumstances, none of these reasons justifies right child violation.
It is worth noting that children are denied their rights when subjected to child labor, child marriage, recruitment into armed conflicts, and other forms of oppression. Poverty is the main factor linked to these violations. It has created many problems, including child labor, discrimination, violence discrimination, and sexual exploitation.
