I went to the centre region senior center in the nittany mall. The senior center is not huge. Usually has 20 to 30 seniors attending the event. They have lunch in the center. And they will pray before the lunch. I went to the senior on 2.10.2017 9:30am - 11:30am and 2.17.2017 10:30am - 11:30am. Three hours companies with four seniors. One old lady is came from the same city with me - Shanghai. We shared the same language and have a great time. And we talked about the food in our hometown. We also played a table game called rummikub. Four people as a set. I learned this game very quickly, but i try to not win the game. Because one of them has senile dementia (an old man called Sam). Another old lady is playing pipe organ. She played the songs and the other senior sing the songs. There is another old lady called Gladys came from Chile. I played puzzle with her and chat with her. Talked about their children and the first period when she came to the America.

I chose to attend a senior center which is located in Nittany Mall. Thus, this paper will significantly cover my experiences from the activities I participated in with the members of that center. It will also compare the real life experiences I had to the studies we normally have in class. I will also discuss the reactions I had from the interactions I had with the senior members of that facility. I will also explain the observations I made concerning the life of senior people in different facilities.
This center is small but has about twenty to thirty senior people. I went to the center on the tenth of February this year at around 9:30- 11.30 am. This was on the first day. I returned to the center on the seventeenth of this month but, I arrived there at about 10:30 am and spent about an hour in the facility. I spent my time with four seniors. I was amazed to realize that one of the ladies I interacted with comes from Shanghai, my hometown. This fact made us talk freely about our life experiences, especially in Shanghai. It was interesting to talk to her in our local dialect whereby we discussed different issues ranging from food, vehicles, technology and clothes.
We later started playing one of the most exciting table games called Rummikub. In this game, we had to join up with other people to make a set of four; as per the regulations of the game. I learned how to play this game so fast although it was my first time to know about it. I liked the competitions we had. I also knew that if I played it with so much zeal, I would win all games. However, I chose to let the senior members win so that they would continue enjoying it as much. One of the senior members who sat with us was nice to all of us, but I later came to know that he had a condition called senile dementia, which made me want to interact with him more and understand his life. He was very much determined to win the game we were playing. He became jubilant especially on the two occasions that he won.
