Delusional thinking is characterized by a series of bizarre and bewildering behavior and actions. Some of the victims of delusional behavior have imaginary thoughts of being followed, spied on, slandered, cheated on, and mistreated. During my summer practice at the Community Centre, our office was a buzz of activity, and more often than not, people volunteered to work through lunch breaks to meet the deadlines. Although this was a sign of commitment and morale to help the incoming refugees, my colleague accused my boss of spiking bottled water with drugs to make people work harder. Later on, my colleague confronted my boss resulting in her immediate extermination, and was sued in a court of law.
Another example of delusional thinking is excessive stalking on social media. With the internet enabling us to connect now more than ever, there is a gradual increase in psychotic symptoms.
