Essay Instructions:

For this assessment task you will be required to re-read the task you have submitted Assessment Task 1 and write a reflection in response to the feedback that you received. Using feedback from your marker you will select TWO things that you can improve for your Assessment Task 4. You will then explain HOW you will improve/ implement this feedback for Assessment Task 4.
Marking Guidelines
In this assessment we want to see that you were able to identify specific qualities of your work, identify steps you can take to sustain or improve specific aspects of your work and, in doing so, are able to develop the capacity to evaluate your own learning. While we will not be providing a rubric for this assessment task, there are two main qualities that we are looking for in your work:
1. A constructive reflection of feedback received.
Whether you choose to focus your reflections on perceived positive or negative comments made on your work, we want to see that you are able to set out ways in which you can improve your work. We want to see that you have thought critically about your work and can see new ways of learning. We want to see that you understand why the comment was made.
2. A meaningful explanation of the implementation
We want to see that the implementation that you have suggested is targeted to your work, is linked to the assessment criteria for written assignment 2 and can be of benefit to work beyond your enabling studies. It could include:
information of how you plan to adapt or adjust your current writing practices and techniques
details of how you will continue to be self-reflexive within subsequent assessment tasks so that you can look more critically upon your own work
a description of how, as a result of this implementation, you will improve further work.
The implementation should also be achievable, we want to see that you can manage this implementation.
Select TWO pieces of feedback from your marker to explain how you are going to implement these for Assessment 4.
There are three different places for markers to provide feedback for you (1) comments written on your paper; (2) comments inside speech bubbles on your paper; (3) inside the rubric attached to your paper. You will find your marked paper in Grade Centre in Blackboard. You do not need to identify where the feedback came from, but you will need to identify the feedback.
To complete this assessment task you need to complete TWO paragraphs using the structure below. You may wish to use subheadings.
Feedback: Identify one feedback comment and explain. (For example: My marker suggested I write using more academic language. Rereading my paragraph I can now see that I used contractions like ‘can’t’ and ‘shouldn’t’. Contractions are not generally considered to be formal academic language.)
Reflection: Identify the reasons why this comment was made (For example: contractions are not academic language)
Implementation: Explain how you will incorporate this feedback into your Assessment 4.
