Introduction
Community independent studies provide an individual with comprehensive and in-depth knowledge about a specific subject. In conducting the study, one has to be familiar with research methods, self-interests, and the general significance and status of the community under investigation. Community independent studies are bound to have difficulties, experiences, lessons, and achievements for an individual. I picked Loft Community Service in Toronto as my study area in the community study project. Having explored different regions, including China, I have experienced the other systems and cultural ideas between China and Canada. A comprehensive study of various social aspects and cultural beliefs is conducted through the community organization. The organization's mandate, the impact of the experience, and the significance of my experiences are discussed in the paper. The paper evaluates the difficulty of the different systems and cultural ideas while undertaking a community-independent study project between China and Canada.
Community Overview
Loft Community Services is a Canada-based organization that offers support to individuals facing both mental and physical mental issues in the community. These mental challenges include homelessness, addictions, depression, dementia, and other psychological problems (Loft, 2022). The organization's main objective is to help such individuals live independently, either at their homes or at the organization's facilities, by responding to complex and unmet needs. The organization is values-driven based on its mission and vision and believes that everyone has growth and changeability. Through their recovery-based approach, people are mentored and empowered to make personal choices and live independently up to their potential. The organization set its course in 1953 and has evolved over the years, thus strengthening its response to social changes and issues (Loft, 2022). Due to its wide range of services, the organization has grown and specialized in complex mental health issues, supportive housing, and poverty eradication. Loft Community Services is dedicated to responding to the community's unmet needs while carrying the leap of faith philosophy into the future.

Methodology
The project is based on a fieldwork experience. More insights about community issues in China were established when I was in China from September 2021 to January 2022. It was challenging to finish this project during my time in China because I discovered CISU was tough for me to accomplish this assignment. I looked everywhere in China for a living community or educational institution, but there were none. I even applied to be a volunteer in a teaching organization. Still, China has a shortage of communities compared to Canada, which has various communities for us to select.
