Wisconsin teacher tenure fight.
Wisconsin has experienced massive protest before because teachers were against the passage of act 10. Various issues have promoted the occurrence of Wisconsin fight in United States because teachers feel that they are overtaxed and blamed of poor performance in various institutions. Many experienced teachers have been deregistered thus leaving the schools with inadequate number of teachers to perform necessary duties. Various teachers have been forced out by parent’s misconducts and false accusation which are never solved in the right manner by law.
Besides, the passed act 10 has forced the teachers to contribute almost six percent of their salaries to facilitate their pension and more than ten percent portion of their salaries to health insurances. Compensations and benefits attained through an effective bargaining have been violated and most schools have terminated salary schedules negotiated in good faith. Therefore, teachers found no purpose of staying in lower paying districts because they were unable to cater for their pension, tenure protection and health insurances.
Additionally, Wisconsin cut more than three thousand teachers without considering high number of students that required many teacher to handle. There have been severe shortage of humanity, computer and mathematics teachers which have adversely affected the education. Many teachers employed were unqualified and unexperienced such that they could not handle large number of student and this lead to a federal scrutiny and poor performance in schools.
Parents’ freedom in school matters have promoted resignation of teachers because complains were not effectively solved in accordance with the law. Various instances have occurred where a single parent allegation promoted teachers suspension. This way the system ended up chasing qualified teachers hence the poor performance and lack of adequate teachers in schools.
Has school choice been everything expected of it?

The study proves that school choice in America cannot predict a student’s performance because programs such as voucher programs almost never provide students with full tuition.
