Animal testing, also called animal experimentation, or animal research, refers to non-human animal experiments that aim to control the variables that affect the behavior or biological system and processes under investigation. Animal testing is a crucial practice that allows for medical advances and understanding of disease processes. However, the use of animals in scientific research has raised ethical concerns. There clash of ideas regarding the use of animals in research where opponents feel that animal experimentation practice is cruel and unnecessary, irrespective of purpose or benefit. I feel that animal testing is a necessary, ethical and safe practice, and is intended to bring tremendous gains in scientific success, innovations, and inventions, which could help in the management and understanding of diseases.
