Shamans, seers or healers have traits that are common despite where they are in the world. One trait that is associated with these people is their compassion for the community. Another trait is their devotion and service to the community. Shamans and seers have certain aspects of wisdom and their communities embrace the shamans’ abilities to connect to an external force through trances and ensure that these abilities are nurtured (Praet, 2009).
Myths are neither true nor false stories. They are symbolic stories that are meant to teach members in a community how to act.
