Spirituality is a wide perspective which has the capacity for a number of angles. According to Sire (2009), it comprises of a realization of the interaction with someone or something broader than any individual and mostly involves a searching for significance in life. Therefore, it is a worldwide human phenomenon which affects all of the humanity. Spirituality is widely perceived as transcendent or sacred experience or even at times to be a profound sensibility of being interconnected and alive. Moreover, people tie their spirituality with their various links acquired in their places of worship such as synagogues, mosques, temples or churches. Conversely, others tend to seek consolation in a personalized connection with higher powers or God. Also, even more people seek a bearing by their interaction with art or nature, yet similarly to the sense of purpose, individual meaning of spirituality changes across one’s entire life while making accommodations along the personal relationships and experiences.
Sire (2009) also explains that pluralism is more than simply diversity but an enthusiastic involvement with multiplicity. When plurality is an achievement, diversity especially in religion, is a given. As such, diversity without pluralism yields more tensions which exist within the society. Additionally, pluralism is a dynamic pursuing of understanding throughout the lines of variance. As such, it also encounters levels of commitments which implies upholding differences without isolation from one another. Moreover, pluralism forms a basis for dialogue which allows a two-way communication of giving and take as well as listening and speaking. Communication is not a prerequisite to an agreement with one another, but pluralism is the commitment to accept to sit together on common grounds.
Scientism is all endeavors to outspread scientific practices, methods, attitudes, and ideas to issues of human political and social matters, Emmons (2005). Moreover, scientism is concerned with exerting a higher value upon common science as compared to the other aspects of culture or learning. As such, it is fashioned upon the natural sciences and is the sole foundation of material knowledge. Through scientism, the human race had the capability to challenge, analyze and scrutinize nature as opposed to antediluvian texts. Moreover, human also can overcome hunger by making innovations in agriculture, eradicate diseases by research in the medical field as well as having an overall and dramatic improvement in the quality of life by industry and technology advancement.
