A Single Story Creates Misunderstanding and Promotes Stereotypes
           Stories about a phenomenon have different worldviews that create criticisms or acceptance depending on individual or group interpretation. Creation stories are examples of narratives that have raised controversy among Christians, scientists and philosophers. These parties have different perspectives regarding creation. Christians, who rely on the Bible, believe that God created the earth and everything in it. According to a Biblical worldview, sin and restoration are the primary elements of God's grand story (Middleton, 2006). Scientists, however, have distanced themselves from Biblical stories, basing their arguments on scientific and evolutionary knowledge. Philosophers have consolidated both Biblical and scientific worldviews in their narratives. Having perused "New Heaven and New Earth," and "Discovering our Disenchantment", and watched the videos, it is safe to state that people need to embrace different worldviews while consuming a story. It is because single stories subject the audience to profound misunderstanding. 
           The novelist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, in her TED presentation about the dangers of a single story, stated that single stories create stereotypes. "The problem with stereotypes is not that they are untrue, but they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story" (Adichie, 2010). For instance, the Biblical stories of creation that target Christians make them submerge themselves into religion, forgetting the material perception of the existence of the earth. The Vimeo presentation indicates that the Bible provides humankind with a predominant narrative that nests other world narratives. The presentation further acknowledges the Bible as the story of God, stating that the world story is the story of God's activity in creating, maintaining, and redeeming the world to accomplish God's purposes. ...
