Psychology Perspectives
The Biological Perspective investigates the impact of biological forces on one's behavior, emotions, and thoughts. Behavior is primarily hereditary in nature and serves a versatile purpose. Biological psychologists study how biology influences emotions, perceptions, learning, and mental illnesses (Luetz, 2020). They are interested in learning how the mind and body interact in good and bad health. Many scientists research anomalous behavior and try to explain it using biological processes, as well as how hereditary factors affect things like aggression.
The Learning Perspective is a psychological method that focuses on how a person's or animal's environment and experiences influence their actions. Experiences and interactions with the environment are regarded to be the source of all behavior. For example, Albert Bandura's Bobo Doll Experiment shows how youngsters learn aggression through contact with others and observation (Luetz, 2020).
The Cognitive Perspective examines how the mind of people is able to process information, including attention, language, memory, and perceptions. The mind functions similarly to a computer. They both go through the same process of entering, saving, and retrieving data. One of the most popular ways today is the cognitive approach. Emotional or behavioral issues may arise as a result of cognitive abnormalities. “...people can fail to access a memory due to stress or inadequate retrieval cues,” for instance.
The sociocultural perspective highlights the influence of society in people’s lives. Cultural variables and social standards, according to researchers, have a significant impact on how people's cognitive talents grow (Luetz, 2020). For instance, people in Cambodia, it is forbidden to touch children's heads since the head is the “most sacred portion of the body”. It is impolite to act in this manner.
Part 2
Psychology is a branch of science concerned with human behavior; one of the scientific disciplines is psychology. Psychologists study and explain behavior and mental processes using scientific approaches (Ye, 2020). Mental processes cannot be directly witnessed, although behaviors can.
