1) After hearing about bids being missed due to technology, what are your thoughts on how to prevent technology from impeding on your connection with your partner?
2) Gottman shared that when men don’t accept influence or “share power” from their wives, they are more likely to divorce, and that men tend to escalate negativity, while women lessen or match negativity. When people are using technology, including mobile devices, they tend to be engrossed in what they are doing. The problem with this is that it creates distance and emotional connection if the partner does not seem to show interest and strengthens the relationship.
