Positive symptoms of schizophrenia are things that were not present in a client but start to manifest. These symptoms can be viewed as things that might start happening. One of the positive symptoms is hallucinations. Patients who have this condition might report to see, hear, smell or even see things that other people are not experiencing. Delusions are another positive sign of schizophrenia. Delusion refers to beliefs that seem bizarre (Kring & Johnson, 2018). The affected patient firmly holds to beliefs that can easily be proved wrong. For instance, they may believe that they have extraordinary capabilities or that they are someone else. Other notable positive symptoms include loss of concentration ability and having repetitive movements that are hard to control.
