The characteristics I consider important for my partner to have include sense of humor, ability to tell stories, cute smile, ability to sing, and willingness to engage in physical exercises such as jogging, walking, yoga, and aerobics. Other important characteristics is dancing, have an outstanding emotional intelligence, effective anger management, ability to cook, and love for travelling. These traits will be important because they will make the relationship holistic and ensure that we are able to engage freely and benefit.
I met my wife, Whitney, while I was working with Walmart. At the time, I was 18 years old while she was 15. We became close with Whitney because her sister was dating my best friend. While we met early in the years, we never started the relationship until I was 23 years and she was 20. We used to meet in a bar with several mutual friends. This offered us accountability and ensured that I understand how Whitney related with other people. It was in 2004 when we realized that the relationship was becoming serious and resolved that were going to be married.
Both of us were committed to the relationship and knew that we wanted to settle down together. However, since I had divorced parents, I was reluctant to get married early. In this regard, we had to wait for more than 4.5 years before were married. This was a resolution between the two us. Both families were from Abilene. Therefore, we decided to settle down there closer to our families.
