 My major is a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Applied Behavior Analysis and my main career goal is to become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. Knowledge of psychology including behavior, performance, personalities, and psychological research methods is the first step to working in the profession. Supervised fieldwork is important to become a certified and licensed behavior analysts and to gaining skills, knowledge and competency in the field (Sellers et al., 2019). The credentials, education, gaining practical experience and working under a supervisor are all required to be a highly qualified behavior analyst.

I am a good listener and have good problem-solving skills, which are essential to work as a behavior analyst who interacts with people on a daily basis. In communication, it is essential to know how to deliver messages and listen as both being a good speaker and a listener. Listening is a skill that can be learned and strengthened, and it is a necessary skill if we are to interact authentically with others. Taking into account cultural awareness in communication and decision-making helps to provide competent care and improve outcomes (Beaulieu, Addington & Almeida, 2019). Problem-solving skill is a learned skill where formulating viable solutions to problems is beneficial to achieve positive outcomes.
