Psychological Disorders
One of the most challenging things to research is the human brain. Science cannot fully reveal or explain many mysteries based on its behavior. It is referred to as a psychological disease or mental illness when the human brain begins to suffer irregularities that prevent it from functioning as it is accustomed to and treating them becomes difficult. These conditions comprise emotional, cognitive, behavioral, or symptomatic patterns that significantly disturb a person or limit their capacity to carry out everyday activities.
Various Psychological Disorders
People can experience various mental illnesses, such as eating, personality, mood, and anxiety disorders. This genetic, physiological, environmental, and psychological convergence usually leads to many psychiatric diseases (Dyakin et al., 2021). Mental health experts routinely diagnose and treat these conditions, including clinical social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
Professionals in the mental health field rely on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-5-TR) as a standard reference tool to provide a basis for conducting assessments on individuals suspected of having a mental illness.
With this, they can have a common standard when diagnosing a patient. This book, DSM–5–TR, is updated yearly as medical experts about mental illnesses make discoveries.
