Prosocial behavior refers to any act that is performed with the aim of benefiting another individual. Through the media, individuals are encouraged to adopt certain behaviors despite their cultural background. Personally, I feel that the media plays a significant role in encouraging prosocial behavior. The degree of influence is high within families and communities because people watch similar programs or movies. Therefore, it is easier to see that people within a particular region or community have adopted specific behaviors.
