I believe personality development and its related dynamics can be traced to environmental effects. An individual’s personality changes due to the environmental impacts, mainly life events, experiences, and encounters. Life experiences include particular changes that trigger emergent cognitive, emotional, and behavioral inclinations. Accordingly, I see personality as characteristic emotional, behavioral, and cognitive states that develop as a person responds to different age-specific life occurrences, including work-related shifts, educational transitions, living arrangements changes, parenthood, and romantic relationships, as well as a result of different life situations, including joblessness and other experiences emanating from mobility from one country to another (Zimmermann et al., 2021). In this way, I believe life events and environmental factors significantly influence personality dynamics and development.
