When do you think adulthood begins?
Adulthood is the stage in human life in which full physical and intellectual maturity has been attained. It has been argued that adulthood status is attained at the age of 18. On the contrary, adulthood commences when an individual can make decisions solely and provide for themselves without depending on their parents or guardians. These decisions include both financial and emotional ones. Age is merely a number; however, brain development, degree of maturity, and responsibilities are what makes an adult. Nonetheless, adulthood is measured by maturity and not age.
What deadline or milestones did you think you would have completed by now? How do you feel about these?
As an adult, achieving financial independence, moving out of my parents’ house, and taking care of myself are some of the set milestones. Not being able to achieve these as per the deadline gives a feeling of dissatisfact...
