Investigating Attitudes Toward Age Groups
The famous saying states that age does not matter; however, in several instances, age matters. Age prejudice and discrimination are widespread in society. Age is a criterion used to evaluate people. Younger people are frequently perceived as rebellious or having attitude issues, and older adults are perceived as helpless, unproductive, and burdened (Busso et al., 2019; Junior et al., 2019). However, a person’s age should not be used to categorize them since a person can do great things at any age.
In the survey conducted, respondents were asked to describe an age group. According to the study, perceptions of children include that they cry a lot, teenagers have bad attitudes, perceptions of adults depend on who they are, and senior citizens are perceived to be knowledgeable. N was primarily distributed to children and teenagers. On the other side, P was distributed mainly to adults and senior citizens.
