and the feedback that you received, you will write an advice column providing practical
recommendations to parents in response to the reader question.

• Summarize & synthesize the findings across all of the studies. Explain the empirical findings
in everyday language so that they provide a foundation for your recommendations.
• Recommend solutions to the parent that are based on the research you reviewed.
• Use APA style references in text and a include a References page

Dear Name1 Name2, In getting prepared and ready for school among children, you should make sure that the psychological aspect is too prepared as a parent. Since children begin to shape up their character from a tender age, training them to be in charge of their behavior is vital. By preparing preschoolers to be in control of their behavior, such training works effectively in enhancing their self-regulation among children. Currently, there is a growing interest in intervening and preventing strategies directed on self-regulation during early childhood. The early childhood stage is preferred since it is when children develop foundational skills about joining the school. Despite children entering preschools and having difficulties regulating themselves, such as paying attention, measures can be taken for affected and concerned parents. First, to better understand self-regulation among preschoolers, it is necessary to understand the components undergoing growth during a child's development. Self-regulation can be defined as the systematic modulation process of attention, emotions, and behavior in responding to a particular situation. The components of self-regulation include effective Control (EC) and executive function (EF). A psychological model of self-regulation will be helpful when it comes to highlighting reciprocals association between EC and EF in early childhood. A popular approach to enhance self-regulation among preschoolers is mindfulness-based practice, Razza, Raymond, and Bregen-Cico (2013, p.373). The mindfulness-based method includes activities such as yoga and meditation. Yoga and meditation facilitate focused attention among preschoolers as well as other components of EC and EF. A key factor is effortful Control (EC) when it comes to self-regulation as a parent. Effective Control is when an individual can manage a dominant pressure for carrying out a less prevalent response. For example, a child experiences EC when he/she suppresses the need to check out for a gift (dominant response). Instead, a child awaits permission from a senior person to get and open the facility (subdominant response). EC is therefore seen as a self-regulatory mechanism in managing temperament during early childhood, enabling children to control emotionality or control reactivity. Secondly, preschoolers, just like any other human being, experience the approach of neural systems, in which executive function (EF) is a critical aspect of self-regulation. The term executive function (EF) refers to a set of cognitive processes interrelated in a high-order manner. The mental processes include working memory, the flexibility of attention, and inhibitory Control underlying a goal-directed activity.
