According to Li et al. (2019), evidence-based practice (EBP) can be theorized as utilizing the best available and credible knowledge to inform decision-making in clinical settings and thus deliver efficient care and treatment to patients based on the evidence. EBP is vital in clinical psychology as it promotes client safety and subsequent healthcare outcomes as well as intervention protocols. Accordingly, EBP assists psychological healthcare providers in applying clinical expertise and research-centered evidence rather than relying on patients’ data to provide and make judgments when offering intervention measures (Li et al., 2019). In other dimensions, EBP helps psychological clinicians to establish the practical course of healthcare action for care delivery. Within the EBP framework, all care delivery processes and efforts should be based on scientific research steps such as problem identification, available data evidence, information analysis, application of the evidenced data in clinical practice, and evaluation of the result to enhance patient care outcomes and life quality.
