Summary of the hypotheses
The paper aims to address three research questions; The first question investigates the predictions of the attachment theory or the requirements of the attachment theory based on the taxonomic structure versus the dimensional structure of discrete differences. The second research question examines how taxonomic search methods of Strange Situation variables aid to the understanding regarding discrete differences within the attachment security. The last question, which is the most crucial of them all, scrutinizes whether we are asking the right questions in the research study.
Methods
The article uses Analytical Research Methods, which uses research that has already been confirmed to form the base and critically evaluate the paper (Pedamkar, 2021). The works used include; Description of patterns of attachment in Strange Situation by Ainsworth, MAXCOV analysis of patterns of attachment in Strange Situation by Fraley and Spieker and Bowlby's attachment theory.
Results of the focal paper
Attachment theory does not predict or require the different patterns of attachment, which means that the theory is not different to the taxonomic structure and dimensional structure of discrete differences. In addition, taxonomic analysis can make significant theoretical and descriptive contributions to the attachment study, particularly if the centre of the research is broadened to incorporate behaviour that is secure base in a natural setting. We are asking the right questions in the study, but an important question needs to be incorporated and answered to adequately answer the question about attachment taxonicity; should taxonicity be studied in Strange Situation or in-home observation?

Description of the larger literature
According to BC Campus (2021), one quality of a well-cited paper is consistency with the citation style. The article I used uses the American Psychological Association (APA) style throughout the paper for their parenthetical citations and references, making the citing consistent. Another characteristic of a well-cited paper is that the citations correspond with the reference list at the end of the article (BC Campus, 2021). All the intext citations in the paper correspond with the bibliography entry, which increases the credibility of the literature. The citations are also properly cited to back up the authors' claims effectively and are not done in excess. According to Ijzendroorn and Bakermans-Kranenburg (2021), neurobiological, behavioural and biomedical sciences replicability of research findings are a significant problem, and the paper I chose is no exception. In the paper, replicability issues are in the form of finding in translation to policy and practice, such as a child crying or insensitive parental responsiveness, which demonstrates the problems and opportunities of bridging the gap betwixt practice and science.
