For the custom messenger bag made in San Francisco the major competitive advantages and dimensions are the quality of the products and the speed of delivery. The company has a good brand reputation as it has been making the custom messenger bags that meet the customer needs without compromising the quality and with no delays when delivering the products. The custom messenger bags are associated with indestructibility as they are long lasting because they are of high quality and since they are dependable, custom and classic the customers tend to be loyal (Jacobs & Chase, 2018).
For the new laptop bags made in China, Timbuk2 chose a Chinese factory that would a also adhere to the company’s high quality and value at reasonable prices (Jacobs & Chase, 2018). However, unlike in San Francisco, the deliveries would take longer, and if the customers are willing to stay for longer they can but the high quality new laptop bags at low prices, as China has low labor costs and cost of manufacturing . The new laptop bags are also more complex compared to those in San Francisco and require more labor and expensive machines that can be handled by the Chinese. Even if the bags made in China are also custom made there is continuous production, and China can produce more within a short period of time.
