Based on the experience gained in class, I am adequately prepared to be part of the change effort in the organization by actively participating in the change process especially planning. Before any change is initiated, one of the most vital parts is planning. According to Lewin's change model, the process can also be identified as the unfreezing stage, initiated by awareness (Hughes, 2018). The plan is critical since it determines the outcome of change. I would be part of the team responsible for initiating change by collectively making the decisions and aligning them to required expectations. I would also ensure the change initiated aligns with the organizational goals and objectives. The adequate element which should always be considered during change planning is the outcome. The change outcome should positively benefit the organization. To achieve all the stated aspects, I have done adequate research on change management and conducted feasibility studies to understand the components of change. Therefore, the knowledge gained makes me be adequately prepared for organizational change.
I would add value to the effort by adequately advocating for a high return on investment. Any organizational growth is always determined by the extent to which return on investment is initiated. The higher the return on investment for an organization, the more profitable it becomes (By, 2020). Therefore, I would add value by ensuring most changes are aligned towards increasing the return on investment. I will also advocate for greater proficiency and adequate utilization of the organizational resources. I would ensure that the key decisions for organizational change are substantial and valid.
