People who have never been to college or lack educational degrees have a limited number of opportunities. They are always pushed behind the competition and cannot land well-paying jobs. On the other hand, a person with a college degree is likely to land his dream job easily. Being in college has always been exciting for me as I got a chance to meet new people, explore an entirely different environment, and learn from the experiences of others.
I still remember my early days at the college. I had shifted in this city with my parents the two years ago, and they were quick enough to submit my application form here. Luckily, I got the admission and began attending the classes regularly. It was a whole new experience for me since I have been from a small town, where people are not as broad-minded as I see over here. In the beginning, I was a shy person. I used to be selective with choosing my friends and had no interest in talking to the boys in my class. However, with time, I acquired more knowledge and improved my communication skills to an extent.
It was made possible for me by one of my professors who encouraged me to deliver presentations in the class. They had an idea that I was not good at speaking with the opposite gender, so they got me involved in a group project where boys and girls had to work together and complete the project by the deadline.
