The disease can cause various forms of visual impairment. Drug manufactures consider increasing profits and ethical decision in the best interest of the public. Onchocerciasis most affects people in Sub Saharan Africa and since there are low margins selling to those most affected by the drug manufacturers is low, and as they are few who can afford.
