Unfortunately, it is likely that you will end up working for a bad boss and/or an incompetent boss at some point in your career. Read both articles above and write a paper (total, not for each type of boss) describing the challenges of working on a project led by both types of bosses. Do not summarize/regurgitate the articles back to me. I want you to think about how these types of leaders would affect you (and your other team members) on a project. When discussing the bad boss, consider the situation if you were supporting a family and you needed your salary and you could not simply quit or easily find another job. For the incompetent boss, consider a scenario where you were trying to advance your career and were working on a high-profile project that you had hoped would help you land a promotion.

Working for a bad or incompetent boss can be challenging. One problem of working for a bad or incompetent boss is that one loses the motivation for his other work. For example, an employee may dread going to work because one does not wish to encounter the boss (Abbajay, 2018). Another challenge of having a bad boss is that it can be psychologically and emotionally draining. For instance, one can feel overwhelmed, lose confidence, and becomes withdrawn because of the pressure (Gallo, 2011). Enduring such stress would definitely affect one's productivity and that of the team. Other times, dealing with an incompetent boss can cause severe psychological trauma such as depression, anxiety, and chronic stress (Abbajay, 2018). The psychological problems can result in serious health problems such as heart attack, stroke, and other life-threatening conditions.
If one is a leader of a team, working under a bad or incompetent boss can feel physically exhausting. For example, if the boss does not listen or provide appropriate feedback, the leader begins to feel unsure of his or her abilities, and this affects the team (Abbajay, 2018). The leader's self-esteem can also be affected such that one fails to reach the project goals. It is essential to embrace effective strategies to deal with a bad or incompetent boss.
If a situation where one works with a bad boss but cannot quit because of family obligations, there some measures that can be taken. Rather than seek feedback, one can make a request.
