The purpose of this activity is direct. Picture yourself chatting with your family and/or friends, and someone asks, so, what have you learned in your organizational behavior class? Three Sections (make sure each section is labeled) and a visual
Leader: Who is the leader and why did you select them (why you care about who they are, what they did or how they did it)
Concept: Outline of concept they connect with - must be clear and align with organizational behavior theory (Leadership Style)
Connection: How or why they exemplify this organizational concept, explanation of one aspect of their leadership journey that ties directly to an area we have discussed during class.
Creative visual The key here is to be creative. Don't just chose an image/headshot of the person. Select something that ties to your profile. Be careful with size so that you have plenty of room for your written portion.
Format:
One Page (no more)
Font: Arial - size 11
Spacing: 1.15 or 1.5
Be sure to review the rubric for grade criteria.
The criterion is based on Excellent (exceeds course standards), Good (meets course standards), Needs Improvement (fails to meet course standards).

Leadership can be delivered in many styles, but one style that I connected with is transformational leadership, and an example of a leader who exemplifies it is Professor Wangari Maathai from Kenya, Africa. Professor Wangari was a human rights activist in Kenya and an environmentalist who founded the Greenbelt movement, a global initiative to plant trees and advocate for a greener world. In addition, Wangari Maathai was the first black African woman to achieve the Nobel peace prize for contributing to conserving the environment and human rights activism. Notably, she inspired and influenced women in the rural communities of Africa to plant trees, and in turn, they earned a living by selling tree seedlings, thus empowering them economically.
