The Downfalls and Benefits of Networking
Social networking is associated with several downfalls. Firstly, it does not give an emotional connection to the users. It is pretty challenging to understand other people’s reactions since there is no eye contact. Sometimes, people might judge you without understanding the meaning of a message. Secondly, it is not easy to improve on interpersonal skills since it is virtual communication. Interpersonal skills create netiquette which helps people to live with empathy. Thirdly, there is no understanding between the users which is fatal (van der Bank & van der Bank, 2014). Excellent social networking should embrace understanding and provide thoughtful sentiments.
