The hiring of new staff or creating a new position in most cases is a challenging task for the human resource manager since they have to analyze all the staffing procedures within the organization. Human resource managers need to develop a job description in the staffing process that identifies the various components of a given position (O'riordan, 2017). In this case, a new job position of an accountant for the organization is open. Therefore, as the human resource manager, I would include the job title and summary, tasks and responsibilities, qualifications as components of the job description, and the compensation or benefits package related to the accounting job.
The title of the job position is that of an accountant, and the summary of the job includes the qualified candidate helping the organization prepare accounts and tax returns, ensure taxes are paid, and audit financial information. At the same time, they control the incomes and expenditures of the organization. The human resource manager should ensure that the job description has an accurate and specific title, for example, "accountant." As part of the job description, the human resource manager is expected to show the importance of the position to the organization and briefly explain the tasks that the open position is expected to accomplish within the organization (Entrepreneurship, 2019).
In the job description, tasks and responsibilities of an accountant include preparing accounting reports that provide financial information to the top managers of the organization. Documenting financial transactions and maintaining financial quality within the various accounts of the organization is another task of an accountant.
