Social equity refers to the fair and equitable treatment of all citizens by the government, despite their diversity and multiculturalism. Also, by facilitating reasonable allocation of public services and execution of public strategies, promotion of evenhandedness and justice, ensuring the equitable management of all institutions (Hatcher, 2015, Feb 10). On the contrary, equality refers to the treatment of people similarly by facilitating the equal provision of resources, rights, and responsibilities so that they can achieve similar results. Social equity is the process by which all individuals in a country enjoy equal opportunities, primarily recognizing the differences and employing fairness and impartiality in accessing all services and opportunities. Equality, on the other hand, is the outcome of treating all the people the same by using uniformity, so that they can access everything evenly (Hatcher, 2015, Feb 10).
