Change Management through Organizational Culture
Executive leaders play significant roles that can contribute to changing the management team through altering an organizational culture. Many chief executive officers (CEO) know the power of organizational culture and how it impacts how things are done in a specific organization. As such, managing the change in an organization usually occurs by first changing corporate culture.
In particular, change management significantly contributes to creating and maintaining a firm’s behaviors and shared values, which influence how companies conduct their business activities. According to a study done by Duke University, it was clear that a strong corporate culture promotes better task execution and reduces a firm’s expenses, contributing to higher creativity and productivity. Approximately 92% of surveyed executive leaders agreed that improving a company’s culture means implementing change management when necessary to increase the value of an organization (Heskett, 2021). Overall, change can be challenging to implement if a firm does not consider modifying the existing organizational culture.
