Physical Therapy is an essential field with the potential of impacting society positively. I have had experiences that influenced the way I think and believe about therapies and life in general throughout my life. My father had an accident that led to cerebral hemorrhage. He was drinking too much, which also complicated the experience after the accident. There was little I could do during that moment because I did not have any knowledge related to healthcare and therapies. As I was growing, I did not have a clear direction on what career I should choose. There were many challenges that I experienced as a result of the accident that affected my dad. I was considering becoming an engineer, and sometimes, I thought being a teacher would be more effective and meaningful. However, as the years went by, I realized that a career in physical therapy would be the best.
After undergoing an accident, many people are unable to cope with themselves. They need close care and monitoring to ensure that they do not get further injuries.
