Every community has a myth that explains the existence of the universe. Chinese also have several myths, including Pan-GU, the figure at the center of the creation's Chinese legends. He was the first man who is believed to have come from an egg with a hairy body, two horns, and two tusks. Pan-GU had been sleeping in the egg for almost 18000 years and was very eager to stretch himself. He broke the egg using his axe and experienced the universe form through his command. He is the one who separated the heavens and the earth, putting in its place the moon, the stars, sun, and the planets and positioning the four seas that exist in the world.
