I recently attended the best classical concert at the Goodwin Recital Hall on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 6.00p.m. The performance was directed by Joseph Ikner and the focus of the show was Guitar Ensemble. The performers included Matthew Sasser, Oliver Nell, Sam Bush, and some groups such as Auburn Guitar Trio and Auburn Guitar Ensemble. Music has been an essential element in my life, and to hear music excites and stimulates my soul; I would say that the concert has just done that.
The performers were very well dressed in their formal attires, mostly dark outfits, which highlighted the theme of the concert, which was the guitar. The hall was very spacious and the crowd were respectful; they eagerly waited for the performance to start without being noisy, and they kept quiet later as they were intimately listening to the different performances. To see and hear classical guitarists play, put the audience at a trance combined with the simple lighting and the magnificent music that came from the performers.
