It involves thorough examination of research work by individuals who have expertise in a homogeneous field of study. Peer appraisal serves three functions. First, it assesses an academic work to choose the outmost perfect item for printing. Secondly, it warrants an ethical printing procedure. Thirdly, it upgrades the standard of the ultimate scholarly item.
Single Blind Review
The identifications of the analysts are concealed from the writer. It is the oldest and the most ordinary technique of evaluating research works. Covering the names of the analysts prevents them from the writer’s control. The reviewers print the work first to allay the writer’s anxiety on any potential publication shelves. The analysts use obscurity to vindicate their punitive criticism of other people’s work (Sabaj et al., 2016).
