In the ‘Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowldge’ George Barkley does well to reiterate the significance of ideas not only on how human beings perceive the world, but also on how the world in constituted. In this sense, the author does an amazing job at demonstrating how ideas are behind the perceptions that individuals have. In this way, the text demonstrates that ideas, which are human constructs, are at the core of perception and behavior as far as human beings are concerned. By this measure, the author also makes it clear that the ideas accepted and embraced in society are responsible for how individuals think and approach the world.
