Marijuana Should Not Be Legalized
It has been falsely stated that smoking marijuana is harmless and does not affect the health of marijuana/cannabis smokers, and secondary smokers, but this is not the case. For instance cognitive abilities, I visited a cousin relative at Aurora, Colorado last summer who claimed that marijuana is harmless and claimed cannabis does not affect his daily activities, yet there is evidence it does affect cognitive abilities. Wilkinson (2013) pointed out that, medical marijuana is regulated so even the side effects are easier to monitor, but there are many who people buy marijuana from dealers without knowing the potency of the marijuana and impact on their health. The belief that the harmful effects are exaggerated and it is not a like tobacco is also a common argument among others like him.
