Journal Entry #1: The Soundtrack of Your Life Forum Language Essay

At various points of your life, you may have used music as a means to embody or express what you were feeling at the time. You will provide a small glimpse of "The Soundtrack of Your Life" by including music that you listened to at the following five points:
1. A piece that you grew up listening to with your family.
2. A piece that has been a part of your musical interests for years.
3. A piece that you have used to connect with friends, or shared with your friends.
4. A piece that helped you through a period of transition, or moving "from one stage to the next" (examples may include preparation for college, a death in the family, a major life decision, etc).
5. A piece that captures whatever thoughts you have for the future (examples may include a place you want to go, a person you want to meet, etc).
Include with each piece a small description of why you have chosen that particular one, as well as who composed / wrote the piece in question. If able, please also provide a link to each selection (this link does not count towards your word count). I look forward to reading what you write!
