There is too much fake news out there that compromises the facts. The proliferation of the internet as a platform for various communication methods and the increased competition among media agencies has led to the increase of fake news. Fake news entails the stories that are presented to the public either via mainstream media or other forms of public communication that are often lies (Balmas, 2014). The information offered is designed to persuade people to engage in something, being comical, attracting attention, or just propaganda that is met to change the perspective towards something. Fake stories are consistent, and this has made it difficult for people to know the truth. The confusion caused by fake news can have adverse effects on how people relate and perceive the issue under discussion. Fake stories in public can be a cause of panic depending on the impact of the information being communicated. Notably, the fake news might be profit was driven, where the creators benefit when the story goes viral (Marchi, 2012). Consequently, the creators work hard to ensure the story is shared widely by disseminators who lack knowledge of the facts about the matter. The solution to the fake news has been difficult for many shareholders. The intent of this paper is to present solutions that can be effective in handling the fake news.
