1 D'Alessandro (2017) describes rock and roll as a type of music that began in the 1950s. It later grew to what is today known as rock music. This type started when rhythm and blues merged with country music. Groups of people brought together gospel harmonies with rhythm and blues. Dewey Phillips of Memphis is among the first people to start playing rock and roll on the radio. They played hard rhythm-and-blues, which later brought a more thrilling type of sound (D'Alessandro, 2017). For a great, rock and roll referred to sex based on its erotic style. Through Presley was not the only one with this kind of style, he was the most dominant one from the way he brought together the black and the white culture. D'Alessandro (2017) equally adds that Transistor Radio is one of the earliest technologies that gave rock and roll much influence across the country. Clear-channel radio was also dominant in the 1950s. Good rock artists like Wolfman Jack shaped their music with the help of this radio in the late 50s and early 60s. This proves that through programs like Grand Ole Opry, rock-n-roll became accessible.

It took the form of both the African-American and White musical traditions. It questioned certain societal norms, such as racism and encouraged a more self-expressive society and free-thinking in the 1960s. It brought much influence to the type of clothes, dances, and the language people used. In terms of the songwriters, they became more expressive and open to discuss very trivial matters that affected American society at that time. Issues of civic leadership, inclusion, and cultural integration were openly and honestly discussed.
3 Lewis (2017) posits that for Sam Phillips, a rock & roll patriarch, there was nothing like rock and roll trying to achieve content. It was not after getting any innovations either. This is since one would find blues gospel and other music genres in it. It clear that rock and roll was a type of music that began by having much influence on young people. Though there had been other types of the older generation, the likes of the baby-boom population would appeal to the older generation. Lewis (2017) mentions that from the way rock n' roll assimilated even the marginalized of the Americans, including the black and the poor whites, this shaped the way this genre of music was embraced. It gave everyone listening and brought some hope of attaining equality. The baby boomers were amongst the very first population to give rock and roll a different outlook. The first generation of fans of rock 'n' roll, which started the influence on rock and roll, is the baby boomer generation. Most of them who gained popularity in the 1950s brought with them a whole personality and many impacts on the growth of rock and roll. People who grew during this era shaped the nature of rock music, leading to a continuation of rock'n'roll through to their ad...
