Problems occur as adolescents adjust to their new bodies and state of mind. These problems can range from emotional, psychological, and behavioral to social and sexual health. The most recognizable problem among adolescents is their highly irritable state and confusion (Papalia & Martorell, 2015). This is normally an emotional problem, which can be addressed by encouraging teenagers to express their emotions, engage in physical activity, and take care of themselves. Behavioral problems emerge in the form of several confrontations, questioning authority, keeping bad company, and changing hair and clothing styles. When adolescents start showing such signs, parents need to gain their children’s trust (Massimo & Loredana, 2018). This way, they can talk with them and help them navigate their emotions. Also, to keep them from falling into bad company, parents and teachers are encouraged to intervene.
