EMTALA is one of the most beneficial health act policies passed in the United States. Health comes before anything else, and human life cannot be equivalent to any amount of money. Despite its few drawbacks, EMTALA's benefit of saving countless life outweighs all other disadvantages. Health should be a primary right, especially in public hospitals. Every US citizen has the right to access good health care and be attended to when they have emergence and don't have the money. Providing better patient care is crucial not only to the individual but also to the country. However, is it a viable option considering the diverse needs of patients? The emergency medical treatment and labor act benefits outweigh its drawbacks. An interesting drawback to look at is that EMTALA can be inconsistent across the country. The diverse natyre of patient needs leads to these inconsistencies. This is a drawback that can be averted by enacting policies to increase CMS capacities. Hence, we can generally say that EMTALA is more beneficial to the nation. It ensures that patients get the best services.
