According to Drury (2019), Toulmin’s style of argument works by identifying data, uses claims to argue or come close to the truth. One application of the theory is in speeches delivered in most political campaigns. In the last elections, Hillary Clinton argued against his major competitor’s campaigning points that touched on the border. She was not of the idea that Trump would restrict entrance into the border. She identified the problems and poor international relations that could have resulted from this. Advertisements done by Nike implement this strategy by mentioning how their games attires are the best for every individual, they support their points by proving how they best serve in different weather and climatic conditions, plus, their durability.
