The FBI director, James Comey, needed to decide whether to destroy Hillary Clinton's reputation right before the elections or not. He needed to choose whether to make public a terrific claim concerning Hillary Clinton's integrity. He then went ahead to deliver the claim that Clinton had set a server in privacy, where she could access sensitive information illegally (ABC News, 2018). Director Comey's action depicted moral problems. One of these is the wrong timing of the announcement. He was aware that the United States (US) was walking into an election period, which could harm Hillary Clinton's wave (Jennings, 2003). Despite the awareness, he went ahead to make a memory that the Americans will never forget. Secondly, director Comey's style of dispensing the claim was absurd. He had an option of solving the issue on the table with the required officials rather than dispensing it to the public. His action questions his moral standards and his intent (Jennings, 2003). It makes it look like a well-planned conspiracy against Hillary Clinton (CNN, 2017).
Several stakeholders were affected by director Comey's claim. These include the US voters, the government, and political analysts. The government had to analyze the claim and subject it to the public laws and acts to find out what is legally right. In this case, the...
