Microsoft Teams is a unified platform that fosters collaboration and communication by combining persistent workplace chat, file storage, video meetings, and integration of applications. Microsoft Teams offers services which assimilate with an organization’s Office 365 features extension and subscription office productivity suite which can integrate with non-Microsoft products. Some of the challenges that I am likely to encounter as the new communication director when implementing technology that would strengthen communication include cultural issues, the problem of social perspective, organizational issues, and the risk of social applications.
The introduction of a new technology designed to strengthen communication and collaboration in the organization is prone to experience challenges posed by cultural issues. More often than not, the introduction of social applications such as Microsoft Teams faces immense resistant from the community whose cultural practices may be contrary to the demands of the new technology.
