Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is a neurological problem common in the elderly, ages sixty-five and above. Initially, it gradually impairs the memory, but once it progresses, it can significantly affect the activities of daily living (ADLs) (Varcarolis 2018, p. 1226). Many people do not know about AD, and to make them understand the disease, some filmmakers made AD their central concept. This paper shall analyze the signs and symptoms of AD illustrated in the 2014 film entitled Still Alice.
Dr. Alice Howland, the protagonist, initially had difficulty remembering addresses and previous locations. This was manifested by being lost during her routine pathway when she jogs.
