The two readings have several similarities. First, William Kamkwamba and the man who brought Mamacita to his country are both hardworking and focused on helping others. The man saved enough money by working two jobs whereby he left very early in the morning when going to work and returned home late. William struggled to read and build a windmill so that he can generate electricity and easy access to water. Second, the language barrier is another problem depicted in both readings. For example, Mamacita and William did not speak and understood very little English. Third, poverty appears to be a common issue in both the readings since some people are struggling to fulfill their needs, such as getting access to safe drinking water and electricity.
