According to Ronald Heifetz’s explanation, ethical leadership can be described. It entails the capacity of the leaders to guide the members in resolving conflicts by considering and analyzing the stakeholders’ characteristics, values, and the environment from where they work. Leaders must utilize their authority to uphold social justice and elaborate the values of trust, empathy, and nurturance. Through this, they will direct the members to the actual problems and support them in making correct and informed decisions (Northouse, 2019, p. 225).
Ethical leadership must be applied at all times to prevent chaos. This can be used to resolve situations where there are internal and external (i.e., between groups) that need a leader who will impose strict values of truth, trust, and respect. These are necessary to prevent the system's collapse that may lead to an unsuccessful venture of the organization.
